10 Years Reunion Gathering of YCIS Class of 2003/04
Class of 2003-04 10 Year’s Reunion
It’s been 10 years since the class of 2003-04 graduated from Yew Chung. How have they all been doing? On 14thDecember 2014, a special afternoon high tea gathering was organized in the Yew Chung HK secondary campus. Former teachers were present as well along with our co-principals and directors.
At the event, many happy memories of their high school lives returned. The room was decorated with Christmas decorations, an early seasonal greeting for all. In addition, class photos taken 10 years ago were put up. Many of them felt surprise yet happy to see these old photos! “Welcome back to school” was our caption printed on the event banner, a meaningful and welcoming message for these alumni members and former staff returning after 10 years. Each of them signed their names on the banner, felt excited and happy to be back. There was also a corner with more photos from their high school lives at the old campus located at 6 Caldecott Road, Piper’s Hill and a yearbook corner displaying yearbooks from their years at Yew Chung. These certainly brought back a lot of memories and created a nostalgic atmosphere as they mingled and caught up on each other’s current developments!
10 years since Yew Chung. Where are these alumni members now and what are they up to? They are all in different industries. Just to give you an idea of the diversity, Ms. Elmy Lung currently works in the media and communications industry, Ms. Jacqueline Wong in the pharmacy industry, Mr. Wayne Tai in the E-commerce and marketing industry, Mr. Vincent Poon in the medical industry and Eugene Yuen in the travel industry.
The gathering started off with a welcoming and group photo session, followed by a refreshments session of specially prepared snacks. Towards the end there was also a campus tour arranged for the group of alumni who have never spent their high school lives here. They admired the facilities in the campus and were amazed when they saw them for the first time. Some of the left us written messages: “fantastic campus!”, “lucky kids!”, “great to be back!”. For the Class of 2003-04, it will be another 10 years before the next meeting. Best wishes to your endeavors and look forward to seeing you after the coming decade!
A special word of thanks goes to the working group of the Class of 2003-04 10 Year’s Reunion. Members of the group include Ms. Elmy Lung, Mr. Wayne Tai, and Ms. Jacqueline Wong. Their effort and contribution has made this event possible. Special thanks also go to Ms. Vicky Lam (IGCSE Class of 2006) for volunteering to offer help on staging the event on the day.
